Volunteer Opportunities

Lakefront Cleanup Part II

Join the Geneva BID on Saturday, June 13th from 9-11:45am and/or 11:45am-2:30pm, on Wednesday, June 17th from 9:00-11:00am, and/or on Saturday, June 27th from 9:00am-12:00pm for the second half of our two-part volunteer effort to save the lakefront from invasive species.

The Schumann Foundation Grant has allowed us to purchase many new, productive, native plants for the lakefront and we are excited to finally be able to put them in the ground where they belong. Whether you came out last fall to help us remove the harmful plants and want to take part in this full-circle opportunity, or you’re just learning about this for the first time and care about the park, the environment, or spending a sunny day outside, we look forward to seeing you there.

Zero gardening experience required.

Please bring garden/work gloves, if you have them.

Tools will be provided, but feel free to bring your own, if you prefer.

Weeding Wednesdays

Would you enjoy spending a quiet summer morning gardening at the lake? Volunteers are always needed to weed garden beds at the Lakefront each Wednesday morning from 9-10 AM. Work with Master Gardener Jonathan Aponte to keep our lakefront park beautiful, and learn about our native plantings. Click the button below to sign up.
